Microcosm [Astro*Index][Gr. mikro+ kosmos, small world]
Connected with the Hermetic idea, "as above, so below, but after another manner." Thus, as in the stars, so on the Earth, and on an even smaller scale, so in a single person. This is one of the central ideas of traditional astrology.
