A technique of interpretation whereby the ten bodies in a natal chart (8 planets, Sun, and Moon) are counted as to what elemental signs they appear in. The balance of these, or lack of balance, (thus preponderance in a single element), is said to give a good indication of a person's character or nature. Example: He has an earthy nature.
