Tibetan Astrology: The Most Comprehensive Program of its Kind
Astrologer Michael Erlewine has been studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism since the early 1970s. He has made two pilgrimages to Tibet, can read Tibetan script, and has studied with many learned lamas of the Karma Kagyu lineage. Erlewine authored the first program on Tibetan astrology many years ago, and has been a director of a dharma center since the early 1980s, producing dozens of important practice sadhanas or texts.
Tibetan Buddhism in the West is growing rapidly, and with it an interest in Tibetan methods of astrology and healing. Very little has been written on Tibetan astrology and even less has been programmed. Here, in a single program, are the major techniques used by Tibetan lamas of all lineages. If you are a beginner in this subject, the various techniques are presented in an easy-to-use manner. This quite complex topic is made easier by the inclusion of a wide variety of text interpretations and graphic cards, illustrating the various techniques. If you are a more advanced practitioner, then you will find built-in to the program a complete practice calendar presented in the familiar monthly calendar format that we use here in the West.
