Program author Michael Erlewine has this to say about The Asian Oracles program:
"I have always been fascinated by the wisdom of the East, in particular the I Ching, the Tao Te Ching, and a number of other more esoteric texts. In my opinion, this wisdom makes for the best in oracles, if used sparingly and as needed. Some years ago, I set about to gather the essence of this wisdom and to illustrate each concept in a tarot card-like format. The result is these 1300 cards, each of which illustrates a part of that wisdom. I hope you enjoy them."

A Few of the 1300 Oracle Cards Included.
If you love Eastern wisdom such as that found in the I Ching, Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, and similar texts, and the beauty of tarot cards for their graphic impact, this program offers them both in one package.
The Asian Oracles provides a variety of tarot-like spreads, ranging from a single-card to a full ten-card spread. Also included in this program are a variety of related spreads, including two astrology-tarot layouts, involving cards representing all major astrological aspects, but in an oracle-like format. And last, but not least, are the Magic Mirror and Pandora oracles, a lot of fun all by themselves. A few of the 1300 cards are shown above, and you can browse some of the spreads by selecting them from the menu at your left.If you find the mere 72 cards in a standard tarot deck fruitful, you will rejoice in the embarrassment of riches in this cornucopia of divinatory artwork.
User level: Beginner up to anyplace you want to go. You should have a basic understanding of what tarot cards (or any random oracle) are about, then just pick your format and ask your questions. Because the cards themselves contain astrological sign, planet, and aspect associations, they link in perfectly to astrological symbolism. |
