Tina Fey
by John Townley
Tina Fey, unexpectedly for a comic, has the absolutely classic Hollywood Venus-Mars conjunction, so associated with charismatic sex symbols of both genders throughout the history of film. Having it in wordy Gemini, however, the natural sparkle comes out intellectually and makes it the portal to her personality charms and attractions. Add to that an outgoing Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Libra in perfect trine to Venus and Mars, and this one is good for non-stop entertainment of any kind she chooses.
You would think that this easy-access kind of charm would be a pushover, but you’d be wrong. That Venus-Mars is square power-grabbing Pluto, so when she sparkles, you’d better duck, which is at the heart of her comic style. On top of that, she’s also got a terse Mercury conjunct Saturn in Taurus, so it won’t take her more than a couple of words to take you down for the count. This combo leads her locomotive-pattern chart, so it’s the key to her ambitions, as well. As a final piece of armament, her Sun is opposite Neptune, so you can never really tell where she’s coming from until she’s already struck from another quarter. Altogether, that’s what makes her unique. She’s a heavy in a deceitfully lightweight costume, a sex symbol only lightly disguised as a plain Jane, a steel trap intellect lurking in a decorative flower bed.
Current events: She was discovered by Saturday Night Live right when her progressed Sun hit her Mars in Gemini, but since then Sun has moved to Cancer and Moon to Pisces, so she’s really gone inside herself for new inspiration and probably won’t reassert until that Moon moves into Aries in a year or so. By then her progressed Mercury will be onto that Mars point which got her on SNL, so expect her next enterprises to be in writing, new concepts, and approaches, with a more serious inner twist.
