When Playboy magazine first hit the scene in the early 1950s, longevity would hardly have been anyone’s prediction for Hugh Hefner. But, with Saturn as the handle to his bucket-pattern chart, determination and repetition of the same formula turned out to be the key to his success.

Not that any of that was visible at first.
