Chris Rock is getting a new groove on, and it may be a bit of a bumpy road until he’s got his bearings. But that’s for the end. The beginning is, he’s got a bucket-shape chart with Jupiter as the handle, which makes him literally bubbling over the top most of the time as that ebullient Jupiter swings him around. And with a fiery Aries Ascendant, he’s ever on the move, and a moving target is hard to pin down.

Aries Ascendant is his only fire, however, and behind the exuberance lies a T-square with that Jupiter involving Moon/Pluto/Uranus opposite Saturn, one heavy load to bear, and that weight is the subject of so much of his message. Without the dash of fire and the explosively comic planet Uranus in the mix, this might be one depressed dude, indeed. As it stands, he’s edgy to say the least and is always pushing the envelope socially, racially, and emotionally. Since it’s all in mutables, emphasizing Virgo-Pisces, the edge he walks is very specific and yet very emotional at the same time, like a tightrope walker juggling and firing off guns all at the same time. This is a man of finely-honed skills channeling a powerfully explosive talent in often very risky territory.

Current events: As for getting his new groove, his progressed Sun has just changed into Aries, a major event in the best of times (that’s what made George Harrison leave the Beatles), but it’s also part of a progressed New Moon, with Moon about to change into Aries as well. That’s always a life revolution and usually a total start-over and redesign. Progressed Moon has just passed his Saturn, and transiting Saturn will be onto his Moon by the fall, just as Uranus gets off his Saturn, so he’s under all kinds of inner and outer pressures and has been for a while. Fortunately for his own self-image, transiting Neptune is getting off his Sun, which has had him a bit confused over direction, but it’s still on his progressed MC/IC axis, which makes it hard to get a career line focus. In any event, this star is going through some seriously major changes, and his color in the firmament will have an entirely new twinkle before the year is out…
