Past Lives and Simpáticos author Bernie Ashman began studying astrology in 1973 after encountering the book The Astrology of Personality by Frenchman Dane Rudyhar. This book inspired him to want to master astrology. Bernie was only 25 at that time and quickly wondered how he was going to live up to the knowledge he was getting about himself through his own chart.

ACS Publications published Bernie’s first book, Astrological Games People Play, in 1987, which offered a unique way of learning astrology through an innovative keyword system. This book was followed by RoadMap to Your Future: A Quick Guide to Transits and Progressions (ACS) in 1994 and his third book, SignMates: Understanding the Games People Play (Llewellyn), in 2000. It is a best-selling book about how to make relationships work harmoniously. Bernie also wrote “Psychology of Terrorism” for the book Civilization Under Attack, published in late 2001 following the 9/11 terrorist attack. He has also written articles for numerous magazines.

Bernie began writing astrological software programs in 1992 and has written two programs in collaboration with Matrix Software. Simpáticos is a written interpretation of the Composite Chart, a very special chart that is formed by combining two individual charts into one chart, the composite. This is a great way to see quickly into the dynamics of any type of relationship and find the road to greater fulfillment together. Simpáticos was followed by his most recent software release, Past Lives. This is the interpretation of a new past life chart wheel with clockwise houses that show the actual picture of the past life chart. It’s this clockwise house system, or symbolic backward motion, that sets this technique apart from any other chart method of trying to perceive past life patterns.

People say Bernie’s astrological readings are empowering. He is a sober optimist, which is reflected in his work. He has a way of tuning into the reality a person is presently living and being a catalyst for growth and inspiration. This is the reason he has a very large international private practice.
